Active Voice 2016-17 fellows during their pre-fellowship training in Chicago.

When schools censor student journalism, they’re doing more than stopping readers from learning new ideas: they’re stopping inquisitive young people from realizing their potential.

By donating to the Student Press Law Center’s Active Voice, you’ll empower and embolden young women in high school and college to #TalkBack. They’ll improve their confidence and ability to write, blog and broadcast on matters of public concern affecting their daily lives.

Most important of all, you’ll become part of an expanding support network for young women intimidated from using their Active Voice.
