UPDATE: The deadline for fellowship applications has been extended to Friday, June 24, 2016.

The Student Press Law Center is looking for our inaugural class of Active Voice fellows.

Over the course of the 2016-17 academic year, a fellow will develop and launch a “free speech service project” to support and inspire teen girls to speak up on substantive issues that matter to them in their student media. Fellows will be paid a $6,000 stipend and have an expense account for project costs. In addition to the project, fellows will create content for the Active Voice website and partners on a regular basis and will attend a training in August and a convening in April.
